The notch is the main issue for me. I don’t care about it during emails, safari etc as it makes sense but u r right the lower bar under the keyboard needs to be used better. Maybe add permanent numbers row?

The main issue for me is during video play back. The notch is SOOOOOO distracting. Any movie that’s on u can see past the notch and it takes u out of the experience. Why can’t u have an option for a black overlay over the notch area like the black bar u described? I don’t want to shrink the movie down as defeats the purpose.

Otherwise enjoying the phone. Smaller is better over my bigger 6Splus.

The Notch on the iPhone is just something they are going to get rid of in the future to make people want the next one

Even though I love my s8 and I think the iPhone 10 looks like a great phone. I just still don't get why Apple would even make a iPhone 8.

Why should you say to blank out the top of the screen that’s the most amazing thing about the 5.8”. Just wait till apple sets the home button back in the firmware with some update, something for the people who have had enough of the sliding.

So top tier android phones still have bezels on the top and bottom, and yet you criticize the iPhone for a way smaller notch? I don’t get it 🤔 if the iPhone had the bezels of the GS8 you’d make a big deal either way because it’s Apple 🙄

That’s not how close apps. Press hold and swipe up. It’s about the same speed. Apple Pay is annoying now.

I would like to see that extra step of having to hold to activate all the apps that are open, then having to hold it again to close apps is a extra step that’s a pain. I would like to just hold to activate the open apps then to just have to swipe to close.

Iphone X is not for everyone. If you can offer it then buy if you can't, don't. Stop bitching about the price. Some people spend  20$ for steak while others spend 50$ or even hundreds. Its the same view..

Excellent point on the lack of cohesiveness between the rest of the Apple products.

yeah, I'd say this isn't the best phone for older folks who aren't tech savvy. went to the Apple Store and tried to talk to one of the geniuses but this old lady in front of me just did not get it even though talked to him for like 30min.

The only thing that bothers me about the phone is the width of the display. I’ve had plus size iPhone before so to me the iPhone X apps just seems crowded

I've watched maybe a dozen iPhone x reviews and I hear the same catchphrases throughout them all. "…….but it's not a deal breaker" and Brian said it three times in this review. Apple does need to get rid of the notch.
